ABOUT

Our facility performs a variety of recycling operations including the following:

Recycling Center Division - a wide variety of scrap metal is purchased both from the public and commercially.  The metals are separated and upgraded into certain grades.  The metal is then repackaged and ready for resell back into the metal industry.  Equipment used in this process include forklifts, skid-steers, a nonferrous baler, alligator shear, excavators, and torches.

Aluminum Reclamation Division - operation of an aluminum reverb furnace, which is a tool used for processing irony aluminum.  Our proper use of the furnace results in the aluminum melting off of the iron, creating and upgraded product know as a "sow".  A sow is a solid block of aluminum weighing approximately 1,000 pounds, where the sows at Metal Source weigh about 1,300 pounds.  After melting off the aluminum, the byproducts are raked from the furnace and the cycle starts all over again.

Milling Division - operation of mills used to pound up and break apart clumps of metal scrap.  Through the process the metallics are separated and the finished material is separated into various sizes of concentrates.  Materials processed include Aluminum turnings and Aluminum dross.
